Interview Preparation

Showcase your best self.

Interview Preparation

During an interview, you need to show the interviewer that you, out of often numerous candidates, are the best fit for the position, whether as a new employee or as a new student at an English-medium private high school. Achieving this goal usually requires a lot of careful preparation.

This preparation includes researching the organization for which you are interviewing, identifying your most relevant qualifications, creating scripts to effectively communicate those qualifications, memorizing them, and rehearsing them until you can say them smoothly and naturally. I can help you prepare for interviews from start to finish.

Job Interviews

I can help you prepare for a job interview by having discussions with you about the job requirements and how to best communicate your skills and professional experience.

  • I can help you discover and design true, memorable stories about your best past professional successes so that employers know that you have a strong work history.

  • Together we can also increase your interview-related vocabulary and improve your pronunciation of important words.

  • We can research likely job questions and rehearse your answers so that you feel more comfortable and confident during job interviews.

High School Interviews

Are you a parent who wants your child to attend a high-quality private school in the United States or other English speaking country? If so, you probably already know that competition to attend these schools is very strong, and candidates are usually interviewed to assess their English language abilities, academic interests, future plans, and more.

  • I can help your teenage child prepare for these interviews so that the interviewer remembers your child’s English fluency, unique personality, and intellectual strengths.

  • Your child and I can discuss typical questions that are asked during these interviews (“What subjects do you enjoy?” “Why do you want to attend our school?”)

  • We can also practice answering the more unusual questions that are asked in order to assess your child’s general intelligence, language fluency, and creative thinking skills (“If you could be any animal, which one would you be?” “Would you rather live on a moon colony or in an underwater city and why?”).
